The European Commission launched a survey of interest in clean technology manufacturing and decarbonization projectsFollowing its decision to double the size of the next round of funding under the EU ETS Innovation Fund, the Commission has launched an investigation of interest in clean technology manufacturing projects and deep decarbonisation technology pilots.

The round will begin in autumn 2022 with a total endowment of around €3bn, and the survey will help gauge industry's interest and readiness to apply for funding in specific subject areas.

The main areas of focus are: renewable energy technologies, fuel cells, electrolytic cells, power storage and heat pumps; Energy intensive industries, carbon capture, utilization and storage applications (CCU), and energy storage.
